This is a completed Operation Story Cushion pillow, with the word “Brooklyn” written in large blue lettering, accented by small knit daisy flowers and a green polka dot that contrast the bright pink of the cushion. During the project, participants had to interview other students’ and their parents if they were deployed to the military. After recording dialogue with the parents, the pillow was created and a recording was placed in the pillow, so students could hear their parent’s voice.
